SHEFFIELD (HYDE PARK) GREYHOUND STADIUM

The South Yorkshire city of Sheffield has had a number of greyhound tracks in the past, but the least well know was in the Hyde Park area of the city and situated at 1° 27' W 53° 22' N. It opened in 1930 and was situated on St Johns Road.

The track existed for over 20 years but closed in the early 1950s. The ground on which the former track once stood is now covered by Manor Park Gardens housing estate.
